Environmental Regulations and Services Manitoba has provincial standards and regulations relating to all aspects of environmental control. Regulations are available on request from the Manitoba Conservation Department. The City of Brandon has modern landfill facilities for conventional solid waste disposal, sewage treatment facilities and recycling facilities. The city operates a state-of-the-art recycling centre was constructed in Brandon in 2003 at the Eastview landfill site. Construction Costs Construction costs are dependent upon the needs of individual industries and businesses. The Economic Development Brandon Office, the Construction Association of Rural Manitoba Inc. and individual contractors can assist in the processing of individual requests for information. Local construction firms provided 2009 estimated averages for various types of buildings. These figures provide rough guidelines for “building from scratch” a turn-key facility.
