Education and Training Levels of the Southwest Economic Region Population

In the City of Brandon itself, 17% of persons aged 25 to 64 reported having no certificate, diploma or degree in 2006. The proportions in the economic region’s towns and villages and rural areas were higher, at 24% each. For the Southwest Economic Region as a whole, the percentage falls somewhere in between, at 21%.

In the City of Brandon itself, the share is closer to one quarter of the population, while in the economic region towns and villages and Rural areas, the share is lower, at 17% and 16%, respectively.

In all three sub-regions of the economic region, at least three quarters of the population have a high school graduation certificate or higher.
